What it means is that ProtocaseDesigner has not been registered with Apple. You have to set your security to allow ProtocaseDesigner as it is not yet certified as coming from a known developer. To bypass this,
in System Preferences > Security & Privacy set 'Allow applications downloaded from:' to 'Anywhere'. You have to click the lock in the bottom left corner, the one that reads 'Click the lock to make changes.' Start ProtocaseDesigner.app. Once running, you may re-set the security to 'Mac App Store and identified developers'.
You only have to do this once, you'll be able to double-click ProtocaseDesigner.app on subsequent starts.
The new version seems to be having some trouble on Mac with some of its libraries. I am investigationg now and will try to sort this out as soon as possible.
We believe we have tracked down the issue with the mac build, a build script was failing and not updating a library. (This does not address the false warning about ProtocaseDesigner.app being damaged, the prior post still addresses that).
