how gets masked a stud on anodized aluminium front panel ?

Suppose I specify aluminium for front panel on whatever U rackmount enclosure, without handles. Apart from the standard 5 studs that fixes with the rest of the enclosure, suppose I want to add also some custom studs.

If I specify anodizing process, how gets masked all those studs on the anodized surface on front ?

Perhaps the default standard 5 studs have to be just visible plain screws on front surface ? I am thinking about the required solidity when the rackmount weight happen to be held in the aluminium front panel only.

Anodizing coats all exposed aluminium. Studs or threaded features made of aluminium will also be anodized unless you explicitly ask for masking or thread chasing after anodizing. Steel studs or screws are normally installed after anodizing and remain uncoated.

Rack mounting screws on the front are normally visible; that is standard practice.

Do not rely on an aluminium front panel to carry the unit’s weight. The load should be supported by rear rails or internal chassis supports, not the front panel alone.
