Unable to select face

I've installed Protocase Designer 4.4.8 and created basic L-shaped enclosure. When I try to "Select a face to edit" nothing happens. I tried by clicking on the hot bar button and then the face, tried clicking a face in a part tree "Edit face" and "Go to face" - no reaction.

Please help.
