How do you create a recess

Newbie here.

I would like to create a recess on the bottom of the enclosure for holding the keypad. How do you create a recess on the bottom of the enclosure using Protocase designer.

Currently Protocase Designer cannot create a recess, however if you need one you can request one be added to your design. Email info@protocase.com with your enclosure and a description of the recess for a quote.

Ok.

But the model will be incomplete. Is there any alternative so as to get the model right?

I'm afraid not. Protocase Designer started out with the intention of making it easy to design a simple custom electronics enclosure. We are expanding its capabilities but user changes to the sheet metal design aren't there yet. The problem is the constraints. We have to integrate our manufacturing restrictions into the program to prevent the frustrating back and forth that arrives when a design doesn't meet things like tooling constraints.
