Assuming a standard steel rack case (whatever U size), when calculating the Y position for some side cutouts that depends on internal spacers or fixings placed on the case base, I need to involve the chassis metal thickness value of that case base (that is, the case itself). This is specified in the case properties, like 1.22 mm as a practical example. However, I assume that the painting adds some thickness to the value listed in the case properties.
Question: is the painting thickness predictable or perhaps already documented ? Let 's say for Graphite Sandtex, the one I used before.

I was told powder coats add around 0.003" - 0.005".
