I'm working on designing a 2U case and I'm trying to make some HDD slots and using the U bracket to do it, but it seems there are rather specific size constraints on brackets, so it's not letting me make it the size that I need for a hard drive to slide in it.
Is there an alternate way of doing something like this? Like if I need sheet metal bent a specific way and size, and be an assembly that can be screwed in what is best way to approach that?

Re: Question about brackets
Hi,
Are you able to provide sketch of the bracket? I might be able to suggest something.
In PD you can add a sub-assembly of a bracket and when attaching it to a face you specify the method of attachment(fasteners, welding, other). https://www.protocasedesigner.com/wiki/ ... ubassembly
Most of our manufacturing constraints are built in PD so there might not be a workaround but you can reach out to our Engineering Design Services for more advanced help. https://www.protocase.com/contact/

Re: Question about brackets
Here's a crude sketch but it would not let me make it those dimensions. Essentially this would be a part that lets you screw 6 hard drives to it and then it would screw into the case, or maybe slide into a rail from the front. Still experimenting at this point.
