Personnal Library Item not displayed correctly

Post by Ti-Paul »

I have made a small pannel with FreeCAD and imported it (.STEP) to create a new personnal library item and added cutouts and nuts to it.

When this pannel is added to my design at the backface of the front, the face editor only show the outline of this item and the 3D preview only the pannel without the cutouts/nuts...

If i hide this pannel, the nuts are visible and floating...

Hey Ti-Paul,

Currently, imported STEP files can only be a static Component in Protocase Designer. This means it is pink and not editable. You can still add things to the component but it won't behave as it would on standard sheet metal parts in Designer. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks,
Matt

thanks, that's what i thought.

just be sure of the alignment in the part editor to insure it's properly align since i cannot check measure in the face editor afterward..
