Is there a DE-9 (aka 9-pin D) cutout? I've searched and looked but don't see one

I think what you are looking for is called a DB9 in our cutout library.

I did eventually find it. After some research, I'm led to believe that DB-9 is the wrong name, but everyone uses it.

I believe you are right about the incorrect name being used.
We'll add that to the name in the library, to make it easier to find in the future!
