Hi, I am new to this forum. Just installed V4.8.5.4 on Xubuntu 18.04.2 LTS, 64-bit system. The installation was smooth. Had to install Java to run. I tried openjdk-8-jre and openjdk-11-jre, the error message are similar: in the error.log, it says
Error: Could not find or load main class com.protocase.designer.JDesigner
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/protocase/smt4j/TouchApplication
When using openjdk-8, there was only the first line of error message;
When using openjdk-11, there was a very brief (~0.2s) display of the graphic interface of protocase designer.
Any idea what went wrong? How to work around?
Thanks,
Liqian

Hi Liqian,
Sorry you are having issues with the latest version.
Looks like there might be a missing library in the latest installation package.
I'll look into it today, and get back to you asap.
Thanks,
