Adding fillets to rectangle for cutout.

Hello,

I'm trying to add fillets to the corners of a rectangle in a cutout and I can't seem to find any real easy way of doing. I've already tried importing a dxf and every dxf I've imported has come out crazy wrong. It's a 3.3" X 2.6" rectangular cutout with a .15" fillet.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Could you provide me a dxf file? I am constantly expanding our dxf support as it is a tremendously varied standard. I should be able to expand the dxf to support the dxfs your software makes.

Additionally there is the composite path tool, and the merge or trim tools. See http://www.protocasedesigner.com/wiki/i ... stom_paths

and

for instructions on how to use these. But if you have dxfs we should be able to make them work.

send a dxf to:

Hello,

The trim command isn't working for me. Here's what I do:

I create a new cutout in the cutout manager library.
I place a circle.
I place a rectangle that overlaps the circle, so I can slightly flatten a portion of the circle.
I select both objects in edit
I click on trim

*At this point, I see the eraser cursor, and both objects complete disappear, and there is no path for me to edit*.

When I leave trim mode, the objects both return.

Any idea what's going on?

I'm on Windows 8.1.

Thanks,
Parag

Yes, there is a problem with the trim command with circles (and ellipses) in the current release. We should have a fix finished and up Monday or Tuesday, my apologies!

I am having this problem as well. I draw a circle and try to trim it with a rectangle. I have version 4.4.5 release on Apr03, 2014. The download page does not show the latest release version of the software and software itself does not support checking for updates. When do you think this bug will be fixed?

Thanks,
Nick

This issue has been found, and we have a fix in the pipeline. It should be finished soon.

Has the fix for the TRIM command not working been implemented yet? If not, is there a work-around I can use? I'm trying to make a cutout for a toggle switch, it's a squared-off circle.

Thanks,
Ben

Trim command in the current version should work fine. If you run into any troubles with it, please let me know!
