On Mountain Lion if you see the following error:

Image

What it means is that ProtocaseDesigner has not been registered with Apple. You have to set your security to allow ProtocaseDesigner as it is not yet certified as coming from a known developer. To bypass this,
  • in System Preferences > Security & Privacy set 'Allow applications downloaded from:' to 'Anywhere'. You have to click the lock in the bottom left corner, the one that reads 'Click the lock to make changes.' Start ProtocaseDesigner.app. Once running, you may re-set the security to 'Mac App Store and identified developers'.
You only have to do this once, you'll be able to double-click ProtocaseDesigner.app on subsequent starts.

The new version seems to be having some trouble on Mac with some of its libraries. I am investigationg now and will try to sort this out as soon as possible.

We believe we have tracked down the issue with the mac build, a build script was failing and not updating a library. (This does not address the false warning about ProtocaseDesigner.app being damaged, the prior post still addresses that).

the version

A problem in the last release was found, and then fixed. Please see the current download on our www.protocasedesigner.com webpage.
