Silk screen pricing error
I put a bitmap on my design and it shows the silk screening costs to be $127,000. I assume this to be a bug, so I am reporting it.
Re: Silk screen pricing error
This is sort of a bug and sort of not.
Silkscreening is a single color process. For every color, a separate silkscreen has to be created and used to squeegee paint onto the face. If an image has 65,000 colors, that theoretically would be 65,000 silkscreens. In reality it would simply be impossible. However, if you have what you believe is a 1 or 2 color silkscreen and it is quoting astronomical prices, check carefully and you will see many shades in those colors. Every shade is a separate color as far as the computer is concerned.
What to do about it:

What to do about it:
- email sales@protocase.com the pda file and tell them how many colors you believe are in the silkscreen. They will manually quote a reasonable price and our graphics designer will make the silkscreen appropriately
- modify the image that was imported and make sure it is made of solid colors with no shading, blurring, gradients, or blending
