Useability: properties stop editing on mouse over draw area

Post by jonathanw »

Hi,

In 4.4.9-Jun19 (Linux x64):
When editing properties (such as circle cutout radius), any editing is stopped (cell focus is lost) when the mouse enters the 2D view (possibly due to the shortcuts for the actions?)

This is quite annoying when replacing the value of a property, since one would usually select the whole cell form right to left, grossly overshooting to save time: unless one is very careful not to overshoot, the editing is stopped.

Also (minor):
Reset Zoom does strange things (not a fit to window, or even always zoom to the same place)
File menu in the main window has no shortcut (Alt-F)
There is no confirmation on closing a newly created design

Good luck with the fixes,

PS: this is without the "accept property change when mouse leaves form" option, but is probably part of that code not being disabled.

Cheers,

Hello

I can see how this would be annoying, I did not notice because I usually just double-click in a field to highlight the entire thing.
