Bare Metal Masking

Post by dronne »

If you need bare metal (for instance for electrical connection) the best way to indicate that is to make a construction rectangle and add a note to it asking for masking.
  1. Press the draw type selector (small button on upper end of left toolbar)
  2. Select Construct
  3. Press the rectangle tool button (on the left toolbar)
  4. Draw a rectangle where you want the masking
  5. Enter the note in the note tool on the right
    1. Mouse into the Note box
    2. Type: Please mask this area during paint so that it is bare
    3. if you need the opposite flange masked, note that in this box as well since you can't draw anything in flanges
    4. click on one of the arrows above the note tool or in the 2D editor to make sure your note is added.
We will get the note when we review your design and you should see the masking in the final drawings that you receive to approve.

We have a cutter that can cut custom masking profiles so your profile should not be an issue.
