Protocase 4.1 Self Clinching Fasteners: 6-32 Nuts Not Shown

Post by BBlair »

Hi,

As per the subject line can you please tell me how I can select a 6-32 Nut in the Self Clinching Fasteners section? I can see in ProtocaseDesigner - library - PEMs - Nuts directory that that and many others exist but only 8 types are shown within Protocase Designer itself and I can't seem to scroll down to any others. If you check this out in Protocase Designer you'll see what I mean.

Please advise.

Thanks!

There are a couple things that legitimately prevent PEMs from showing up in the library. One is metal thickness - the S-632-1ZI for instance requires a .040" thick or thicker piece of metal. So if you are in the 20 gauge or so they won't show up. Also, some will be removed due to material - only a few PEMs are compatible with Stainless Steel. This said, there have been some issues with the PEM browser that I believe I have fixed - we are just waiting on a little more testing before releasing the next version. If this is preventing you from working, send me a private message and I'll send you a beta of the next release.

Thank you,
