change stud direction?

if i add a stud to the rear of the enclosure it faces inward. i would like it to face outward. the intended use is as a "chassis ground". i tried editing the inside face of the rear panel, but still the stud faces inward.

There are two ways of placing studs facing outwards:

• • Place the stud
  • right-click on the stud and de-select the "faces inside of case" checkbox
• select the stud to place but don't place it
• press the middle button on your mouse
• place the stud
