I'm working on a 3-piece rack rackmount enclosure in Aluminum, 4 units high and 558.8mm (22") deep. I want the front panel powder coated and the rest grained and chromated (chem film). Whenever I specify the grained finish, I get an error: "Base-Galvanneal cannot have a grained finish."
After experimenting a bit, it appears that the error goes away if I reduce the depth to around 415mm. It also goes away if I uncheck "chem film" at any depth.
Is this a software bug or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
D.

Re: Grained finish Aluminum error
Hi Dancaselr,
definitely a software bug on our part, it is fixed on our more recent versions.
If you would like you can download our most recent version: http://protocasedesigner.com/RELEASE/pr ... v03,16.exe
or if you would like to just continue with your design on your current version, leave a note on the enclosure or with the Account Manager handling your order, that you would like a grained finish on your cover/chassis parts.
