Best way to prepare CAD files for custom sheet metal enclosure?

Hi everyone, I’m planning to order a custom sheet metal enclosure and I’m currently working on the CAD design. I want to make sure the files are prepared correctly before submitting them. I’m using Fusion 360 and designing the enclosure with bends, mounting holes, and cutouts for connectors, but I’m not sure if it’s better to submit the fully assembled 3D model or flattened sheet metal parts.

For those who have ordered from Protocase before, what file format usually works best and helps avoid revisions or delays? Also, are there any common design mistakes I should watch out for when it comes to bend radii, hole spacing near bends, or tolerances?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience submitting designs for fabrication. I’d like to get it right the first time if possible. Thanks!
