Re: Flat panel with flanges? & ATX template question
Hi HumboldtEF, Protocase Designer does not have the ability to add flanges. You can still have the templates customized by adding notes. For your second item, I would recommend using the L-bracket template. Add the mounting layout for the motherboard, and the appropriate io cutouts. I would make a n...

Re: Vents?
Hey Edward,
it's hard to say what caused an empty rectangle without seeing your file. Most of the time it is just an accidental click when in rectangle cutout mode.
We have a tutorial on creating custom vents here:

Re: Confusing errors
Hey Edward,
this just means that the software recognized that there were empty rectangles made in the 2D Face editor. It is safe to say you can ignore these 'errors', and if possible, delete the objects on the face they are referring to.

Re: Importing other CAD formats??
Hey Edward, unfortunately, it is just a matter of resources. There are many features our software team would like to implement for our users but we have to balance this with the demands of other software projects within our company. Which file formats do you usually work with? Inside the company, we...

Re: U-shaped into 19" rack
Hey Bertalan, it is possible to add other parts into your template file. Please see the documentation here: http://www.protocasedesigner.com/wiki/index.php?title=Face_Editor#Creating_and_adding_a_bracket_or_other_subassembly It would be no problem to order them in separate files and specify that the...

Re: U-shape with/without devider
Hey Bertalan, the screws on top of the enclosure should be present on either the U-Shape or U-Shape with Divider when the width of the enclosure is over 18". When the width is over 18", there is a flange added to the top of the front and back. If this flange is not present due to the size of your en...

Re: Keystone Module Mount Support in Protocase Designer?
Hey schlammbad, Unfortunately we don't have anything built into Designer to handle this currently. I have talked with our Engineering and Design Services department to see if they had any suggestions on how to accommodate this in your design. Would you have the part number of the connector you are l...
