Re: issues with Mini USB cutout

Just for info, in PD version 5.6.6 the default Mini USB library is still not fixed, or at least not completely fixed: when placing the Mini USB cutout, a warning still occurs (see snapshot), except that after ignoring the warning the resulting cutout seems to be ok in the final drawing. I still have...

Re: specifying the default fixing screws from the design stage ?

I've been told that things have changed since my previous orders, the current process dropped the SolidWorks road and so the approval process can be skipped. If so, where or when can one change the case screw positions ? At least in my case, I always had problems with those screws. There were situat...

specifying the default fixing screws from the design stage ?

Until now, I always had to ask for screw positioning of the upper cover in the approval process, since Protocase Designer didn't offer this adjustment. Has this changed in recent versions ? For example, on a rackmount case, can I specify (modify) right from the start the horizontal position for a pa...

what means "Has Seam Welds" ?

<subj.> when creating a new rear bend rackmount case. I mean, what is the difference on the final product if the rackmount case has "seam welds" or has not "seam welds" ?

issues with Mini USB cutout

I created a standard 1U rack and need to place a "Mini - USB type B, Receptacle" cutout. However, upon placing, an error control tells me that CompositePath minimum dimension cannot be less than half the metal thickness: (0.024"). Click accept to proceed as is or reject to undo. [Accept]/[Reject]". ...

x64 version (Windows) is really 64 bit ?

I found that, apparently, a 64 bit version has been released since May or something. I wanted to test the file protocaseDesigner-x64-4.7.3-Jul19,17.exe file, but the default directory offered by installer was C:\Program Files (x86)\Protocase Designer 4 (i.e. programs location for 32 bit). Is there a...

Re: difference on boundary limit between face edit and 3d view

I observed now that there is no need for my previous project, just create a new case, rackmount, edit the bottom side, add a simple circle near the red zone -> in 3D view the circle/hole will come under the bend part of the rear panel. See one of the attached image. On the same test project, edit re...

Re: difference on boundary limit between face edit and 3d view

This is still not fixed, or at least the bug looks the same on my same old drawing.

Tried with protocaseDesigner-4.5.3-Mar03,16.exe (the Mar15,16 gives archive integrity check fail or something).

Also the .png graphic export as stated here is still broken.

Re: difference on boundary limit between face edit and 3d view

Can you check the .pda from order number K091415039-42618-3 ?

The 3D version seems the correct one since it resembles with the e-drawing, so the the problem appears to be with the marking during face editing.

difference on boundary limit between face edit and 3d view

The difference is shown in the attached snapshots. When editing, the red part looks far from the upper hole, but in the final design they almost overlap. Who is wrong and who is right ?
