The print to scale does exist in the current protocase designer. Unfortunately we have not had the opportunity to add dimensioning to it so you have to actually measure features on the printout.
Sincerely,

Re: Mirroring brackets?
We don't currently have that ability but that is a really nice idea. For now, you should be able to add a note to the design (using the note tool in the part tree for instance, or just by emailing or calling sales).
Our team can make them mirrored very easily.

Re: Additional templates?
We don't have any other templates, but if you had a rough sketch we may be able to accommodate you if they are simple.
We have some long term plans to allow you to do this yourself but we have to get some more constraints designed so you can't make things that we can't build.

Re: Create a STEP file
We have managed a nearly functional IGES conversion. There are a couple of files this is not working on (ATX cases, Extruded Enclosures). However there is a bug with SolidWorks - they are looking into it. So if you use Siemens NX it is working fine, edrawings is fine, SolidWorks is not loading our f...

Re: How can I place my bracket in my enclosure?
Hello, Yes there is a new feature in our current beta. If you edit the face the footprint is placed in, and select the footprint, then click [Edit Footprint Options] in the context toolbar on the right then it will allow you to change the parameters for the footprint. If you don't have this option c...

Re: How can I place my bracket in my enclosure?
So the steps are as follows: Create or Load your bracket Identify a face that will be mated to the other part when you join them (we will call this the mated face) in the 3D editor, select the create sub-assembly button or menu item (Cutout Library->Create Sub-Assembly) click on the face that is goi...

Re: Importing other CAD formats??
Hello Edward, We are currently working on an export to IGES file. We are also working on an import and export from SolidWorks. The import and export to/ from SolidWorks will be somewhat restricted in that you will need a fairly recent copy of SolidWorks to use it. It will be an AddIn for SolidWorks....

Re: Problem With Sub-Assembly in Version 4.5.2
Hello and sorry for the late reply! Apparently the notifications on the forum are not working. I believe the latest version on our wiki (which is a beta version, hence why it is not on the main page) http://www.protocasedesigner.com/wiki/index.php/Knowledgebase_-_Software_Fixes_Released should work ...

Re: Bug: Angled Bracket Angle
Hello,
You are correct. It seems the angle is being measured as the inside angle. We will get this fixed in the next release. In the meantime, subtract your needed angle from 180 and it should work out fine.
My apologies for the inconvenience,

Re: Protocase Designer won't Load Files
Hello, I am sorry you are having trouble with our software! We try to avoid these sorts of issues but there have been a couple of issues recently and we are trying to track them down. If you open one of these files is there any information in it at all? If there is, send it to designer@protocase.com...
