solved it. was selecting too large of a PEM for my circuit boards.
proper 8-32's fit just fine.

I am brand new to this software and preparing a design for our amplifier product. I attempted to use an available blind standoff (PEM) to mount our amplifier boards but a warning states: "PEM BSO-032-12ZI requires material at least 0.05 inches thick.
