Hi,
I've been playing with microcontrollers and am researching the possibility of having custom enclosures made for some small custom electronics projects that I might make a small commercial production run of 100-1000 units or so.I've never done anything like this (talk slowly, I'm a newb), but have a vague understanding that there are companies that you can outsource this stuff to.Anyone done anything like this? Any idea of prices/lead-times I should expect? Any recommended companies for something like this? Also, are their good ways to prototype enclosures before you commit to a production run?
Please help.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Re: Building a custom electronics enclosure?
Hi Michael,
Sorry we missed your post until now.
We specialize in exactly what you are looking for.
You can use protocaseDesigner ( https://www.protocasedesigner.com/ ) to design your case. It is our free CAD program specifically written for ease of use, so you can see your design come to life quickly. No mechanical engineering needed.
It allows real-time quoting as you go within the software, so you can keep your budget on track.
Once you have your design, we can build your enclosure, from design to finished, powdercoated enclosure, all in house.
We have no minimum order, so we can build a prototype, and if that needs tweaks, we can make those until you have what you need for your production run. And our lead time is 2-3 days once the design is finalized.
